    Description: evergreen tree, 80-100ft. high, sandy loam, rock ridges, and bogs

    Leaves: needles 3-5 in. long in bunches of 5

    Cones: resinous (aromatic oils) 4-8in.long

    Bark: dark green (young) or deeply cracked, dark brown (mature)

    Range: northern states
